What to check out in Centrifugal Pumps?

• Apart from daily visual inspections, Fresh Gland Packing is checked monthly. If leakage is found from gland, same is required to be tightened.


• Coupling alignment and integrity is to be checked monthly .


• Tightness of foundation and "hold down bolts" is to be checked every 6 months.


• Both DE and NDE side bearing greasing and coupling greasing is to be done in 6 months.


• Shaft, sleeve, short sleeve, neck ring and impeller are to be checked after openeing top cover of pump every year.


• Every year running clearance of impeller is to be checked.


• Non -Return-Valve is to be checked every 6 months.


• Packing and greasing of sluice valve is to be carried out every 6 months.
